Generally, the front tyres of a car wear off faster than the rear ones. Therefore it is recommended for the tyres of a car to be shifted from place to another periodically (approximately every 10,000km) in order to ensure all tyres have uniform tread wear and longer durability. This process is known as wheel rotation.
